We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanical Technician to join our Facilities department in Prescot. The Maintenance Mechanical Technician will be responsible for providing support to business operations M&E as well as general building maintenance, ensuring safety at all times.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight, you will need to display the following:

Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
Perform planned preventative/reactive maintenance tasks to all associated equipment.
Operation of plant and equipment inspection of M&E equipment and systems to ensure safe operations in accordance with statutory/or regulatory compliance and adherence to agreed procedures and company standards.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Assist with the renovation of buildings; repair, plaster and repainting.
Repair/replace fixtures and fittings.
Perform outside custodial duties such as snow removal etc as required.
Maintain records of maintenance procedures.
Complete checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures.
Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; order parts as needed.
Report any incidents or accidents.
To wear any protective clothing provided by the Company.
Ensure safety in the workplace and in this respect ensure compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials/equipment necessary for the performance of his/her tasks.
Follow health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
It is quite likely that out of hours working will from time to time be required. This will be by mutual consent and may on occasion involve overseas travel.
To undertake other tasks of an appropriate nature in consultation with the Site Manager.

Essential Requirements

Required Knowledge and Work Experience

Time served trade in mechanical/fitter in engineering.
Building services maintenance experience.
Good diagnostic skills.
Current clean driving licence.
Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised.
Good attention to detail.
Out of hours call out system rota.

Hours of work – Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.00
