A UK based battery systems centre of excellence who are part of a global automotive OEM are looking to recruit a Battery Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will support electronics/software/design requirements for installation into vehicles and battery systems, also develop battery modules and battery packs.

The Battery Systems Engineer Will

Support the development of automotive systems engineering for Battery Management systems and other EV applications.
Assist with requirements capture, development, architecture design, and application software development.
Support system calibration, commissioning, and integration test activities
Support the development, build and test of prototype systems.
Liaise with customers to capture requirements and provide systems level support and training.
Work closely with the software, mechanical, and electronics teams on integration tasks.

The Battery Systems Engineer Will Have

Systems engineering background and understanding of the development lifecycle for a safety critical application.
Automotive experience, including HV applications and ISO26262.
Strong knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink development.
Experience of embedded control systems.
Ability to take a hands-on, methodical, approach to testing, fault finding and commissioning of systems.
