Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting an Intern Engineer for our Pembroke Dock office, to provide support to the Wales Engineering Team for the preparations of underwater equipment for deployment campaigns as part of different ongoing projects. The role will involve the processing, analysis and database management of different types of data relevant to ORE consenting.

What will I do?

Process and analysis of hydrophone data
Support preparation of underwater field measurements including equipment procurement, campaign planning and device setup
AIS geolocation data processing
Database management including SQL based solutions
Other tasks required by the company

What are we looking for?

Experience with signal processing (preferably with underwater acoustics data)
Familiar with programming language platforms (preferably MATLAB)
Experience with database management
Able to produce reports and visual presentations including graphs and charts
Minimum of 3 years university experience in any Engineering discipline, undertaking relevant subjects such as Signal Processing, Power management and Control Systems.
Previous working experience in technical roles
2-month fixed term contract
