An advanced engineering company who focus on delivering clean, scalable, and commercially viable nuclear and fusion energy frameworks are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager as they continue to grow. This role will primarily based out of the office in the North West of England with expected to travel to other offices, events and customer sites.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and managing commercial partnerships, strategic opportunities, and funding pathways in the nuclear and fusion energy sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of the energy ecosystem, regulatory and government funding frameworks, and the ability to communicate highly technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities across government, utility, industrial, and international markets.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key partners.
- Lead market and competitive intelligence initiatives to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical team.
- Attend and represent the company at industry conferences, investor meetings, and consortiums.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies and commercialization roadmaps for fusion and nuclear technologies.
- Spearhead the team and grow the function once established.
