Multi-Site Refrigeration Service Engineer
Location: Based in Manchester
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (must be flexible to work weekends/nights when required and at other North West sites)
Working Hours: 45 hours per week (9 hours per day with a 30-minute paid break)
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 basic, depending on experience
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established and growing organisation. The successful candidate will join a stable team and play a key role in providing service, maintenance, and breakdown support across multiple North West sites.
Candidates with proven experience in both industrial and commercial refrigeration are ideal. Experience working with SABROE, GRASSO, STAR, or J&E Hall equipment would be highly advantageous.
Essential Requirements:
- F-Gas certified
- Ammonia Handling Certificate (minimum requirement)
- Demonstrable experience in refrigeration service roles (industrial & commercial systems)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide service, maintenance, and breakdown cover on small and large refrigeration equipment
- Work with Ammonia plants, spiral freezers, large cold rooms, refrigerated water systems, and compressor setups (recip and screw)
- Carry out maintenance tasks to a high standard and complete SOP tasks accurately
- Update service records and timekeeping logs in a timely manner
