The Vacancy
The Coatings Applicator will be required to prepare the surface of new or existing equipment, to remove any contamination, mill scale, rust, or unsound existing coatings and apply the appropriate corrosion protection coatings to specified standards. A competent coatings applicator will be able to undertake the role safely and without supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Delivery of the Coatings Business.
- Involved in the planning of tasks from job initiation through to the scheduled delivery.
- Carry out and record all work quality documentation.
- Responsible for the delivery of work quality.
- Build and continually develop product knowledge and awareness.
- Flexible across the varied work fronts.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Responsible for the delivery of work targets.
- Assists with job planning.
- Supports other Delivery streams as deemed necessary.
- Creation of Risk Assessment documentation, safety documentation and Method Statements.
- Works to gain NACE accreditation where requested.
- Works to gain other certifications within the Coatings business.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- NACE Accreditation.
- Coatings manufacturer courses.
- Water experience (Preferred).
- Knowledge of safe systems of work.
- Client security clearance as required.
- CSCS/EUSR Card Holder.
- Confined Space Entry training (Preferred).
- DOMS & Water Hygiene (Preferred).
- Overhead pendant crane/gantry crane training.
- Lifting Operations training.
- Valid UK driving licence.
