Trade Effluent Services are looking to recruit a Transport Planner / administrator to join our busy office and support the Transport Operations Manager and the wider team.
The role itself can be fast paced, some days are straight-forward, others might be more demanding. You will need to be able to multi-task and think on your feet as situations change and plans evolve throughout the day in this ever changing and fast moving environment.
You will be planning, and dynamically adjusting, driver workload allocations to ensure all our customer collections are completed. You will also communicate with the drivers and support the drivers through the shifts.
You will also be on hand to support our sales team, maintaining and updating customer details within CRM system, liaising with sales managers to create and draft invoices, and draft operational method statements. You will also assist in process and track sales-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
We are a small family business and it’s all hands on board to help.
You'll also need excellent organisation and communication skills so that you can build effective relationships with our drivers,
customers and the team here.
Candidates must have a full understanding of road transport regulations and experience in transport planning.
Key areas of skill & duties
- Dynamic route planning, effective communication with drivers and customers
- Inputting data from duty of care/job cards onto our internal system.
- Issue purchase orders for maintenance and tyres
- DVLA monthly Diving License checks
- Update supplier spreadsheets when required with weights and records of jobs carried out
- Checking suppler invoices against order log to ensure correct prices have been charged.
- Assist in sending formal quotes when required.
- Maintain and update customer details within CRM
- Liaise with Sales Managers to create and draft invoices and draft operational method statements
- Process and track sales-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide all-round general administrative support to the team as required.
Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, but the need to be flexible is essential.
Transport planning experience is essential as we need you to understand the unique pressures that inpact our day to day operation.
