ROLE OVERVIEW
The role of the Utilities Engineer is to support Utilities Management Department in assuring quality services delivered by the Utilities O&M Service Partners, and in line with agreed SLA’s and KPI’s
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of utility systems to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a full understanding of the NEOM utility assets MEP systems and plant.
- Respond promptly to emergency outages and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime
- Analyze utility consumption data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings
- Develop strategies to optimize utility usage, minimize waste, and promote sustainability initiatives

- Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to utility management
- Implement energy-saving practices and technologies to reduce the organization's environmental footprint
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines related to utility operations
- Lead utility-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and installations, from inception to completion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
- Ensure projects are executed within budget and meet quality and safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to address utility-related needs and concerns
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the utility engineering team
- Maintain a full understanding of the operation and maintenance needs of the utilities MEP Assets.
- Maintain a full understanding of the agreed SLA & KPIs to be delivered by contracted Service Partners
- Undertake daily monitoring and reporting of related contracted Service Partners activities
- Provide advice and guidance to related contracted Service Partners
- Supporting the Utilities & Facilities Maintenance management in analyzing Service Partner Performance
- Report on Service Partner non-compliances in service delivery, service standards and health & safety
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related MEP O&M
- Ideal experience in central utilities – Electrical and/or mechanical Systems

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
