About The Opportunity

We are one of the delivery partners for NEOM THE LINE, one of the most iconic giga projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arguably one of the largest projects in the world. Based at NEOM Site, Jacobs has an opening for a Design Manager.
The Design Manager will oversee the full spectrum of architecture design for different asset types relating to THE LINE. Manage the full spectrum of architecture design for different asset types across THE LINE. Serves as a capable professional in an architectural design team, leading work on specific elements of a project with minimal direction and supervision of a Senior Architect or senior team member.
The Design Manager will manage the architectural design for THE LINE Neighborhoods and support the Senior Design Managers in the coordination of emerging designs provided by architectural design consultants for a Neighborhood. The Design Manager will ensure that the design work is executed according to scope, schedule, quality, and budget, and in compliance with the NEOM THE LINE Plan of Work procedures. The Design Manager will be responsible for the design of a neighborhood, encompassing approximately 500,000 m² of assets. Design Manager also will provide expert design management input across four neighborhoods and support the design for THE LINE Neighborhoods with one or multiple specialisms.
Responsibilities
- Design Management Coordination, including Core Real Estate Asset Design, Non-Common Asset Design, Façade Design, Sustainability, and Public Realm Design
- Guide designers, reviewing designs, and ensure that project requirements are met
- Review and advise the design by special expertise, creative approach, requirements and quality of design, in support of Senior Designer leadership.
- Arrange and/or attend design coordination meetings and workshops
- Manage compliance with Design and Deliverables Requirements, Development Control Regulations (DCR's), Design KPIs and Specialist Design KPIs
- Support Senior Design manager in the coordination of Interfaces with the City, between different Neighborhoods, and with Anchor Assets
- Collaborate with Cost Consultants to ensure emerging designs are meeting budget targets.
- Manage the design in accordance with the development program and Initial Asset Briefs
- Manage the design in accordance with the development program and Initial Asset Briefs relevant to the Specialism
- Manage the completion of design registers
- RFI Register
- Design to Budget
- Design Review Contribute to qualitative architectural design reviews, providing analysis, comments in the CRS, and recommendations to Senior Design Manager.
- Manage Design Brief and Requirements compliance, ensuring completeness, and accuracy, including design coordination within architecture and across disciplines.
- Coordinate facilities management design with the Facilities Management Group
- Responsible for the design quality and coordination of design between different design streams
- Manages compliance with masterplan, vision and engineering integration
- Liaison with delivery teams, integration of designs
Key Design Related Responsibilities

Here's what you'll need
Experience
- 10+ years post undergraduate of outstanding architectural design and management experience
- Design experience in various architectural types residential, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc.
- Experience in Middle East is highly appreciated
Qualifications
- B.Arch or B.Sc, in Architecture from a recognized university
- Postgraduate In Architecture
- International Accreditations (RIBA, AIA, or equivalent)
- Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP, or equivalent)
