We are hiring a highly experienced SubCon Senior Engineer to lead and manage the execution and performance of subcontractors across complex engineering or construction projects in KSA. The ideal candidate will ensure subcontractor compliance with technical specifications, timelines, safety standards, and contractual obligations while facilitating communication between project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead subcontractor coordination and supervise their execution in line with project scope, timelines, and budget.
- Review and approve subcontractors’ technical submissions, shop drawings, ITPs, and method statements.
- Monitor daily site operations, quality control, and progress of subcontractors’ work to ensure adherence to specifications and safety protocols.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues between main contractor, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure closure of NCRs, punch lists, and safety violations.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including daily reports, progress tracking, and subcontractor evaluations.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of variations, claims, and EOTs related to subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code, Aramco, or NEOM standards (as applicable).
- Liaise with planning, QA/QC, procurement, and commercial teams to coordinate material deliveries and contractual performance.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to junior SubCon engineers and site teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in subcontractor engineering or coordination roles.
- Prior experience on mega projects in Saudi Arabia (e.g., NEOM, Red Sea, Aramco, Qiddiya) is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of FIDIC contract principles and local labor and subcontracting laws.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project control tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
- English fluency is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
Certifications & Compliance
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration (required or in progress).
- OSHA / NEBOSH safety certification preferred.
- PMP or other project management credentials are a plus.
Work Environment
- Site-based role with extended hours and field supervision.
- Must be willing to relocate within the Kingdom based on project assignment.
