We have exciting opportunities for a Band 5 Orthotist with a positive outlook to join an established existing clinical team
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a larger clinical team within Greater Manchester of 10 qualified Orthotists. It will give the post holder extensive exposure to all areas within Orthotics including Major Trauma, spinal, neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and paediatrics, as well as mentorship and the peer support network you would expect being part of a larger clinical team
The applicant ideally requires a good overall experience in clinical orthotics however as the post is part of a larger clinical team we will also consider new graduates and can provide comprehensive support and training to gain your potential
You will work as part of a team delivering providing an Orthotic service across the NCA . This will include inpatient and outpatient services across 4 sites , as well as some community clinics . It is anticipated you will be mainly based at any one site
As a qualified Orthotist, you will undertake the clinical examination and assessment, diagnosis and treatment of these patients. You will be expected to do this within an appropriate timeframe and with suitably sourced orthoses for prescription, quality and cost. You will work within BAPOs best practice guidelines and ensure the planned outcome measures for patients’ Orthotic management are met.
