Description
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Exposure Management function with enhancing their processes and reporting capabilities through technology, automation, and data analysis principles.
Specific Responsibilities
- Work closely with the business stakeholders to understand the requirements, perform data analysis to assess quality, meaning and usage of data
- Support the business processes with their data requirements: ad-hoc data queries and extracts
- Develop an understanding of the existing data stores and data availability within the application landscape to support the business needs
- Requirement analysis and provide input on proposed delivery options
- Support delivery and testing teams in defining scope, reviewing output, testing coverage, validation of test scenarios, etc.

Essential Skills & Requirements
- Previous Specialty Insurance experience with a good understanding of business processes, especially in Exposure Management
- Experience in data analysis and proficiency in using tools like SQL (management studio, stored procedures), excel, Power BI, etc. to support data analysis
- Experience in building reusable data extracts using ETL/ELT processes
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively (complex ideas, recommendations, solution approaches, etc.) with a diverse set of business and technical stakeholder groups
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Data related field is preferred
- Understanding of actuarial practices
- Experience in data visualisation and report building using tools like Power BI
- Experience in working on software development and delivery projects using tools like SSIS, Azure Synapse, etc.
- Demonstratable interest and awareness in emerging technologies
