We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our growing IT Operations team based in Manchester City Centre. This is an ideal next step for someone with 1-2 years of experience in IT support, who already has hands-on experience working with Microsoft 365 services and is looking to build their skills further in automation, device management, and cloud security.
You'll be an escalation point for our Service Desk Analysts and Apprentice, resolving complex Microsoft 365 issues and helping to drive improvements in how we support users across the business. You'll also work closely with our Security Engineer and IT Operations Manager on small projects that improve how we manage users, devices, and business processes.
You will be working from our office in Central Manchester (option to work one day a week from home), our standard working hours are 9am - 5:30pm but you may occasionally need to work an early shift between 7am - 3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a 2nd line escalation point for Microsoft 365-related incidents raised by the Service Desk and Apprentice, troubleshooting complex user issues across Microsoft cloud apps, devices, and authentication.
- Provide clear documentation, user guides, and knowledge sharing to enhance first-line resolution capabilities.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID/Azure AD), including user account management, licensing, distribution groups, permissions, and issue resolution (mail flow, access, calendar, sync) via admin centres and PowerShell.
- Assist with device onboarding, policy deployment, compliance monitoring, and troubleshooting through Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, including support for conditional access and mobile device policies.
- Build, maintain, and optimise Power Automate flows and Power Apps to automate IT and business workflows; collaborate with departments to gather requirements and deliver low-code solutions.
- Contribute to internal IT projects such as onboarding automation, device rollouts, and user self-service tools; support adoption of new Microsoft 365 and Power Platform features.
- Collaborate with the Security Engineer on policy enhancements and identity protection initiatives
Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in IT support or helpdesk, with hands-on Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID/Azure AD) for user and group management.
- Familiar with Microsoft Intune for Windows device management, policy deployment, and compliance monitoring.
- Experience with or interest in Power Automate and Power Apps to support internal workflows.
- Basic PowerShell skills for administrative tasks and automation.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong troubleshooting abilities across cloud-based systems.
- Clear, patient communicator—able to explain technical topics to non-technical users.

- Desirable: MS-900, PL-900, ITIL v4 Foundation, or similar certifications

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (Depending on experience)
