We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team with the focus on supporting the Children’s Services Transformation Service. In this role, you will work across various areas, utilising data to inform service design and improve performance and efficiency through research and knowledge management. Collaborating closely with internal and external partners, your strong analytical skills will be crucial in interpreting complex statistical information and providing guidance to the Divisional Director and the Transformation Board. Demonstrating good knowledge of change and transformation within the context of Children’s Social Care would be an advantage.
To thrive in this role, you should possess excellent analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and hold a degree in a relevant field or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience in a similar post. If you have the desire to contribute to the continuous enhancement of our transformational journey in Children’s Services then we are keen to hear from you.
This position is for a fixed term of 12 months from the start date.

Skills
Essential:
- Excellent numerical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex statistical information.
- Ability to deliver high standards in data reliability and information analysis.
- Experience of analysing and interpreting local authority or other public sector data, including education providers, health and financial data.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge
Essential:
- Highly numerate with excellent practical knowledge of statistical techniques and reporting.
- Solid understanding of Data Protection/GDPR requirements.
- Knowledge of a database centric software package.
- Significant knowledge of analytical methodologies and their application.
- Understanding of legislative requirements of statutory returns.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree in a relevant subject, such as business or ICT, or significant demonstrable experience.
- Using performance management information to drive performance improvement.
- Successfully leading projects and completion within agreed parameters and timeframes.
