The NHS R&D Departments led by a R&D Director provide local services for research support and facilitates the sponsoring and hosting of studies within in each UHB. Part of this service includes a NHS research delivery team consisting of Research Nurses, Research Officers and Administrators, employed by NHS organisations to support the delivery of high quality health and social care studies. The Research Officer will be a part of these NHS research delivery teams.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 2 years from start date due to funding. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
The main duties of this role is to support the setup of research studies and the recruitment, assessment and ongoing management of patients into these studies.
You will liaise regularly with many of many of our key stakeholders including, senior nurses, and multidisciplinary teams as well as the wider research teams supporting several different studies.
This post is based at University Hospital of Llandough. Some cross site working will be expected.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
