Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project/Systems Engineer at Ventive Limited located in the London Area, United Kingdom, with the option for some remote work. The Project/Systems Engineer will be a key member of the design team, able to translate technical vision into a system architecture, and support delivery of innovative Heating and Ventilation solutions. This role requires hands-on ability to coordinate across hardware and software development, deep collaboration with product and operations teams, and the ability contribute to a growing high-performance engineering organisation.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and launch of new HVAC products from prototype to mass production, ensuring performance, compliance, and reliability.
- Provide input in the technical roadmap, system architecture, and product development strategy aligned with business goals.
- Drive innovation in energy-efficient and sustainable heating and ventilation technologies.
- Be responsible for all aspects of R&D and including capturing and protecting IP.
- Work closely with the Head of Engineering and Operations Teams.
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualified in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or related field together with relevant engineering accreditations
- Proven experience in safety engineering, regulatory compliance, or related roles with a focus on electro-mechanical and electronic systems
- Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in the application of UK and international system engineering processes
- Ability to drive / produce safety case reports, hazard analysis, functional failure analysis, FTA, and review DFMEA, FMECA, reliability prediction, etc.
- Experience in providing input to system Declaration of Conformity (DoC) as well as compiling compliance reports Specifying Safety and Reliability requirements and leading design, analysis, and testing activities
- Co-ordinating on site commissioning and troubleshooting activities to ensure systems are working safely and effectively
- Actively engaging in providing input to the project team to optimize both system and product design concerning safety and reliability
- Responsible for system design definition, configuration control and design change management
- Responsible for reviewing technical drawings, compiling and maintaining product technical file
- Responsible for producing technical reports and collating all technical documentation required for both product performance and compliance
- Capability to comprehend and analyse systems down to unit and detailed design levels
- Experience in software projects (ideally within industrial IoT environment)
- Proficiency in understanding the mathematical aspects of Safety and Reliability engineering, including statistics, probability theory, and mathematical modelling
- Ensuring thorough consideration and implementation of lessons learned from previous in-service experiences Contribute to improve Ventive quality system
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Proficiency in computer usage, MS pack and data processing
- Able to employ a logical approach to technical problem-solving and decision-making processes.
- Cross-cultural awareness to navigate diverse team environments effectively.
- Sound high value engineering experience and/or HVAC knowledge preferred
