LOCATION: Flexible UK (Salford/ London desirable) – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Sustainability Coordinator will report into the Sustainability Manager (Production). This role will sit within the Content Sustainability Team, supporting commissioning teams within the BBC Content Division (responsible for the BBC’s non-News Public Service Network output). The role will also work closely with the Central Sustainability Team (which operates at BBC Group level). This role will provide subject matter expertise in sustainable productions, supporting production teams producing unscripted content, commissioned by BBC Public Service Broadcasting.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
- Provide subject matter expertise in sustainable productions.
- Engage and inspire production teams to implement sustainable practices.
- Support production teams producing unscripted content commissioned by BBC Public Service Broadcasting.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within the BBC Content Division.
- Identify potential challenges for sustainability initiatives and propose practical solutions.
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong experience in a TV production role, or a role directly supporting TV productions, with a good understanding of sustainability in the industry.
- Proven experience of implementing sustainable production strategies and knowledge of new clean technologies.
- Experience in accurate sustainability data collection, including for the BAFTA albert carbon footprint, and familiarity with the wider BAFTA albert toolkit.
- Demonstrable experience of engaging and inspiring production teams to enact change, particularly in the face of competing priorities.
- Track record of identifying potential challenges for sustainability initiatives on production and suggesting solutions to overcome them.
Desired But Not Required
- Knowledge of and qualification in an environmental sustainability discipline.
