As the Lead Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for the performance, reliability, and compliance of all site utilities and infrastructure. You'll lead a team of skilled technicians and oversee critical systems including chillers, boilers, HVAC, compressed air, and water treatment—ensuring optimal operation in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Lead and manage the facilities engineering team and effluent plant operations, including technicians and external contractors
- Manage regulatory and mandatory systems and processes such as LOTO, PUWER
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of chiller systems, ensuring efficient cooling for production and storage areas
- Manage boiler systems, including steam generation, condensate recovery, and compliance with pressure system safety regulations
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all utilities and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC,)
- Monitor and optimize energy usage across all facility systems, identifying opportunities for cost savings and sustainability improvements
- Lead capital projects related to facility upgrades, expansions, and energy efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and maintenance records
- Collaborate with production, quality, and HSE teams to support operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Respond to and resolve facility-related emergencies and breakdowns in a timely manner
