We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic Web/Mobile Squad on a 6-month contract (with strong potential for renewal). The role sits within the retail arm of a major UK energy company, focusing on delivering seamless, customer-centric experiences for existing users.
What You’ll Be Working On:
You'll be embedded in a cross-functional squad that looks after digital touchpoints for their existing customer base. Whether it’s improving the performance of web UIs or refining their mobile journeys, you'll play a key role in shaping how millions of customers interact with their energy services.
Ideal Skill Set:
- React (v16+) with strong experience in building complex UIs
- Solid understanding of custom hooks, functional components, and modern state management
- Experience working on customer-facing web or mobile applications
- A proactive approach to code quality, testing, and team collaboration
- Experience developing mobile apps (React Native or native iOS/Android)
- Exposure to customer experience or user journey optimisation in a high-traffic product
Squad Culture:
You’ll work alongside experienced frontend and backend engineers, product owners, and designers in an agile setup.
