Purpose of the position: As Junior
ROV Maintenance Technician you will be part of the ROV Asset department. Initial duties include assisting with maintenance on ROV Systems and equipment at Saipem’s Aberdeen base for a period of 6-12 months, to develop technical knowledge. This will be followed by further training offshore on Sonsub ROV systems, on various worksites worldwide, in support of ROV maintenance activities.
Activities
- Assist workshop technicians on activities related to the maintenance and refurbishment and testing of ROV systems and associated equipment.
- Develop technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, on ROV systems and equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance of ROV systems and equipment on Saipem’s offshore worksites.
- Follow the company’s QHSE policies and procedures in all tasks and operations.
What are we looking for?
- Industry training/experience in Electrical or Mechanical or Hydraulic disciplines
- HNC or an equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft software packages

- Please note: Successful candidates need to be made aware that they will be required to undertake training in the workshop for approx. 6-12 months.
After the initial training onshore the position will be mainly offshore with occasions where onshore work will be required
