The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, commercially-minded Business Development Manager to lead the frontlines of our sales efforts. This is a customer-facing role where you’ll work closely with prospects—from charger OEMs to energy providers—to understand their needs and demonstrate how our platform delivers tangible business value.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Product and Engineering teams to shape solution proposals, contribute to our go-to-market strategy, and drive adoption of our SaaS platform across the value chain.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify and engage high-value B2B opportunities across the EV charging and smart energy sectors
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer challenges and propose tailored solutions using the emPACT platform
- Translate business needs into clear commercial proposals and support throughout the presales process
- Deliver compelling demos that highlight our platform’s technical and commercial edge
- Build a strong, qualified pipeline in our CRM, driving outreach and closing strategies
- Work closely with Product to feed customer insights into roadmap development

- Win new commercial contracts that drive recurring software revenue
- Position Electric Miles as a trusted technology partner to OEMs, CPOs, energy firms, and fleet operators
- Act as a critical connector between customer needs and platform capability
- Contribute to rapid growth of our smart charging and energy flexibility services in the UK and Europe
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years in technical B2B sales, business development, or solutions consulting (ideally in EV, energy, SaaS, or mobility)
- Experience working with complex stakeholder environments and long sales cycles
- Strong communication and solution-selling skills; able to bridge technical and commercial conversations
- Understanding of the EV charging ecosystem and/or grid services is a plus
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
