What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence expert to join us as AI Lead (Lead ML Engineer). In this role, you'll lead a dynamic team of machine learning engineers and developers and play a pivotal role on our core leadership team.
Your primary responsibility will be driving technology development and implementation across industrial sites, ensuring alignment between the tech team's efforts and broader business objectives. You’ll provide technical leadership, strategic insight, and hands-on support where needed.
This is a hybrid role, combining hands-on technical contributions—including occasional forward-deployed work at customer sites—with management responsibilities. The position offers significant room for growth and advancement.
As AI Lead, you will:
- Mentor and guide the tech team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Provide strategic leadership in algorithm development and ensure seamless integration into the software architecture
How can you stand out?
- Experience with process control or industrial processes
- Background as a founder or founding engineer
- Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical
Core Skills That Will Help You Succeed
Technical
- Ability to translate customer problems into machine learning problems
- Proficient in Python’s ML stack and tools; experience with PyTorch, JAX, or similar frameworks
- Experience building models using complex time-series data
- Proficient in SQL and database management
- Capable of writing production-grade code and using modern development tools and methodologies (version control, CI/CD, containers, etc.) in cloud environments like GCP, AWS, or Azure
Leadership
- Experience mentoring ML and software engineering teams
- Led sprints and contributed to technical roadmaps
- Able to communicate complex technical problems clearly and effectively
- Skilled at aligning technology choices and resources to support business goals
- Maintains clear and up-to-date documentation of designs and decisions
- Works cross-functionally with business leaders, product managers, developers, and customers to understand needs and present solutions
