Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team driving the delivery of a major engineering programme. In this role, you’ll take ownership of electrical systems design and integration—ensuring all electrical elements are fit-for-purpose, compliant, and aligned with broader project goals.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Leading and supervising electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reviewing electrical design packages, specifications, and contractor submissions for technical accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Ensuring that all electrical elements meet internal standards, statutory regulations, and project-specific needs.
- Working alongside EPCm contractors and internal teams to coordinate interfaces, drive delivery, and resolve technical challenges.
- Taking accountability for discipline-level time, cost, and quality metrics.
- Supporting installation, commissioning, and operational readiness planning.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and contributing to project safety governance.
- Collaborating closely with Project Managers, Engineers from other disciplines, and external stakeholders to ensure a fully integrated project outcome.
Who are we looking for?
- Familiarity with UK electrical regulations, including CDM 2015.
- Ability to critically assess and validate electrical system designs and documentation.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience delivering complex electrical design work, ideally in the chemical, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Experience working with or overseeing EPCm contractors.
- Strong coordination and communication skills within multi-discipline project teams.
