Job Summary
We are seeking forward-thinking
Hydrogen Design Engineers to join our pioneering team developing next-generation
eVTOL aircraft powered by
hydrogen propulsion systems. You will play a key role in the design, integration, and optimization of hydrogen storage, distribution, and fuel cell systems for sustainable electric flight. This is a high-impact position focused on innovation, safety, and future-ready aerospace technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop hydrogen storage, fuel delivery, and fuel cell integration systems for eVTOL aircraft.
- Collaborate with structural, thermal, propulsion, and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Generate detailed 3D CAD models and drawings of hydrogen components and assemblies (e.g., tanks, valves, piping, sensors).
- Conduct feasibility studies, thermal and structural analysis (FEM/CFD), and hydrogen safety risk assessments.
- Support prototype manufacturing, testing, and certification of hydrogen systems in accordance with UK CAA and EASA regulations.
- Select and specify materials compatible with cryogenic hydrogen and high-pressure environments.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace safety standards, including ISO 14687, SAE J2601, and AS9100.
- Contribute to internal R&D and continuous improvement initiatives for hydrogen propulsion technologies.
Education
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 3–10 years of experience in hydrogen systems design, fuel cell technology, or aerospace propulsion systems.
- Experience with eVTOL, UAV, or electric aircraft systems preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of hydrogen fuel cell systems, storage technologies (Type IV tanks), and cryogenic systems.
- Experience with system simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, GT-Suite).
- Familiarity with fluid dynamics, pressure vessel design, and thermal management systems.
