Role Description
The company is looking to recruit a number of deployment engineers to join our Technical team. The role focuses on the deployment of the Digital Oil Field (DOF) software solution, designed to combine live measurements and software models in calculations to guide the management of oil and gas fields. The post holder will ideally have previous experience of providing Digital Oil Field deployment services to either multinational oil and gas majors or to national oil companies.
Activities include: deployment preparation and product deployment remotely or on client locations worldwide; provision of technical advice and support to clients; training client personnel worldwide.
The role requires a high level of personal initiative, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and a pro-active commercial approach to developing the company's business. You will be able to operate in a fast-paced deadline, results driven environment. You will require excellent organisational skills.
The company will provide personal development and in-house training to allow you to increase your knowledge of our clients' corporate IT systems used for real-time oil and gas field management and optimisation. The position is based in our Guildford office and will involve extensive travel worldwide.
Qualifications
Required:
+ Master’s or Bachelor's degree with equivalent level of experience in Engineering, Physical Science or Computer Science
+ 3-5 years experience in deployment and configuration of Digital Oil Field solutions
Desirable:
+ Practical experience in the oil and gas sector including:
- Design and employment of Digital Oil Field systems
- Building petroleum engineering workflows, calculations, or processes
- Software deployment in major international oil and gas companies
- Implementing and/or using Petex software
- Working with multiple database and real-time data storage environments

+ Technical skills:
Required:
- Microsoft SQL server 2019 onwards - intermediate/advanced
- Windows 2019 onwards - intermediate/advanced
Experience using any of the following would be beneficial:
- Powershell scripting
- Cloud native deployments
- Dockers
- GIS System (ESRI) preferred
- Oracle
- AVEVA PI and Asset Framework
- Process control or real-time measurements of oil and gas, mining, or other manufacturing systems
