About the role
As a Project Engineer you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Project Manager(s) to direct and manage a major boiler installation project at a power station. You will oversee equipment and piping installation, manage technical queries, and coordinate engineering resources.
Key Objectives
- To be experienced with piping and installation within an industrial or power generation project
- To ensure that all project programme, budget and margin targets are met
- To have a sound knowledge and understanding of engineer design processes
- To have a strong commitment to health and safety compliance in high hazard environments
- To be proficient with project planning tools and applications (Microsoft, SAP, Prometheus STO)
- To organise and communicate
- To evaluate technical and contractual information
- To understand project risk and risk management
- To evaluate, develop and improve existing practices to improve project performance and increase benefit
Roles and Responsibilities
- On site supervision and leadership for appointed task, project. Including putting subcontractors to work
- Preparation of technical documentation, procedures to support completion of the project alongside subcontractors
- Work with engineering teams to resolve technical queries
- Maintain records for purposes of project and quality processes
- Prepare quality control documentation
- Monitoring and report on progress to agreed program
Qualifications and Experience
You will have HNC/HND in related engineering discipline.
- You are experienced working in a role as Project Engineer or supporting project role in executing multi-disciplined projects from inception through completion
- You will have record of site management and experience in multi-disciplined site construction, installation, testing and commissioning of project work
