We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of user-facing analytics and insights at scale. This is a hands-on role with a strong product focus, where your work will directly shape how users interact with their energy data.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale analyses of household energy data to derive actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to translate analyses into user-facing features.
- Develop and maintain internal tools to support data annotation, evaluation, and benchmarking of algorithms.
- Take ownership of the products and features you deliver, serving as a main driving force behind our user insights.
- Bring a fresh perspective and help build new products from the ground up.
- Thrive in a small, autonomous team where members are expected to own their work end to end.
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience building user-facing data science solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with SQL.
- Hands-on experience with popular data science libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
- Expertise in time series data and developing forecasting/predictive models.
- Experience with clustering/segmentation and methods for peer ranking/comparison.
Nice to have
- Cloud skills (AWS or equivalent).
- Background in electrical engineering, energy data, or energy disaggregation.
- Experience with Docker and GitLab CI for development and deployment workflows.

- Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience)
- Location: Hybrid – circa 2 days/week in our London office

The Interview Process
- Screening Call (15 mins): A relaxed chat with our existing Product Owner to explore your background and gauge fit for the role;
- Panel Interview (45–60 mins): A deeper dive with our COO and Tech Lead, focusing on your product thinking and previous experience;
- In-Person Conversation (1 hour): A more informal meeting with our COO. We’ll talk through the product vision, company culture, and answer your questions.
