Front-End Engineer (full stack) required to help shape and evolve the UI for an early-stage SaaS clean tech start-up. You’ll join a collaborative, cross-functional team building a cutting-edge platform for battery and renewable energy asset performance management.
📍Remote-first with hybrid options in Cambridge. Salary £50-70k + Bens + Options (UK based role that requires being eligible to work)
This is an opportunity to lead the front-end strategy while contributing to the full stack, ideally with experience in Java/Microservices / Spring Boot on the back end. The role is with an early stage start, so that responsibilities will be broad and you will need to be happy to work on front-end and full-stack features.
Key skills required for the Front-End Engineer (full stack) include the majority of
✅ JavaScript, TypeScript, React, MUI / Material UI
✅ Complex backend systems experience – Java / Spring Boot or C#.NET microservices
✅ TDD, CI/CD, trunk-based dev
✅ Modern JS testing frameworks such as (Jest, Playwright)
✅ Pair programming & micro front-end design
✅ Isolated component deployment
✅ Cloud-native engineering (AWS or Azure)
Nice to have skills required for the Front-End Engineer (full stack) include some of
- Domain-Driven Design / Behaviour-Driven Development
- Kafka, Docker, event-driven systems / distributed systems
- DevOps / Containerised deployments & config management, CI/CD, Kubernetes, ECS,
- Knowledge of Data Engineering ,such as data pipelines
- Knowledge of machine learning
