About the role:
As a Solution Engineer Graduate, you will join our Energy Storage team, working on projects that shape the UK and European energy transition. You will gain hands-on experience in designing and supporting energy storage system (ESS) projects, assisting with technical proposals, and collaborating with senior engineers and commercial teams.
This is a customer-facing and technical role, ideal for graduates eager to combine engineering expertise with real-world renewable energy applications.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the design and optimization of large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) under the supervision of senior engineers
- Assist in reviewing client requirements, grid codes, and technical specifications to develop tailored solutions
- Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, tenders, and presentations for UK and European projects
- Carry out research on market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitor offerings in the UK and South European markets
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery of technical solutions
- Gain knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, SCADA/EMS, and UK grid connection processes
- Participate in client meetings and site visits, supporting senior engineers in technical discussions
- Build a strong foundation in renewable energy project engineering while contributing to meaningful clean energy projects
Qualification and expertise:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or related Engineering disciplines (recent graduates or final-year students encouraged to apply)
- Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability, especially energy storage systems
- Strong foundation in power systems, electrical engineering, or related technical subjects
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of another European language (e.g., Spanish, Italian, German) is a plus
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver
- Clearly organised, proactive, able to smoothly cooperate with different internal and external personnel in a fast-paced and competitive environment
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-moving international environment
