🔋 Infyos, the team and our purpose
At Infyos, we’re building the supply chain operating system for clean energy - starting by helping battery and energy companies manage and mitigate supply chain risk.
Our AI-powered platform combines public and proprietary data to give deep visibility into Tier-N suppliers and red-flag ESG risks, from forced labour to carbon exposure. With regulation tightening and investor scrutiny rising, we enable companies to stay ahead of compliance deadlines and de-risk procurement decisions — while accelerating the global transition to clean energy. We have a startup-like mindset in the way we work. Expect a place to learn new skills, be creative and take ownership. We believe that by equipping people with the best tools to solve problems, we can tackle the whole world's problems better, together.
⭐ We believe in the value of diversity
We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and culture from the start. Climate justice cuts across race, gender, and more, and we welcome applicants from backgrounds that are underrepresented in climate and tech. If there is anything we can do to make our application process more inclusive then please let us know.
🔮 The job brief
We are looking for a Product Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, product, and strategy. This role goes beyond shipping features – you'll collaborate closely with the founders, customers, sales, and product/engineering stakeholders to shape requirements, challenge assumptions, and deliver scalable, maintainable systems.
You’ll work across the full stack and product lifecycle: discovery, design, build, test, release, and iteration. You'll focus on bringing front-end excellence, clean coding practices, and scalable architecture to the team. You'll also embrace AI in the workflow where it accelerates delivery, but balance it with good engineering judgement.
If you’re proactive, strategic, and motivated by building impactful products end-to-end, we’d love to work with you.
🎓 Ideal experience:
- 5+ years software development experience in startups and/or agile product teams.
- Front-end fluency: strong in React/Next.js, Tailwind CSS, MUI and UI best practices.
- Clean coding discipline: declarative naming, readable code, adherence to OOP principles.
- Experience with Postgres, MongoDB and Graph databases (Neo4j).
- Experience of Redis and BullMQ (or similar) for caching/queues.
- Ability to deliver full-stack features independently, balancing speed and maintainability.
- Experience building products end-to-end, ideally in a startup or fast-moving environment.
- Strong problem-solving mindset: proactive, resourceful, and hands-on.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into well-scoped deliverables.
- Strong communication skills with non-technical stakeholders, asking the right questions, and challenging assumptions.
- Experience with AI-augmented development, with an understanding of where the boundaries are.
- Familiarity with design patterns and scalable system architecture.
- Experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Perplexity, Claude, etc.).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps and data/ML workflows.
- Mentorship skills to help elevate coding standards across the team
⚙️ The role
- Collaborate with product, design, and non-technical stakeholders to translate ideas into clear, testable requirements.
- Proactively identify problems, risks, and opportunities – and propose solutions without waiting for direction.
- Write clean, declarative, maintainable code that's easy for others to understand and build upon.
- Lead on implementation and delivery; from the front-end (React/Next.js, Tailwind, MUI), to the back-end (API, Database, Infrastructure, Deployments) contributing across the full stack.
- Think strategically about trade-offs between short-term delivery and long-term maintainability.
- Communicate trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fill in gaps where needed (documentation, testing, DevOps, integrations) to ensure delivery.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
💻 How you’d work
- Remote with days in our London office, and the rest is flexible (home, café, abroad, wherever you do your best work)
- Quarterly team offsites and regular in-person days to collaborate and learn from each other
- Expect autonomy, high trust, and fast feedback loops — we care more about outcomes than facetime
🧩 The interview process
We want our process to give you and us a real feel for working together. We’ll aim to wrap up within 2 weeks:
- ☎️ Initial call – A chance to hear your story and give you the lowdown on Infyos
- 📖 Pair programming – Work together on a feature or task
- 🫖 Founder chat – A deeper conversation with our cofounders, values, and what we’d build together
🌍 The full package at Infyos
- Competitive market salary based on growth roles and years of relevant experience
- Generous share options
- 30 days holiday + UK bank holidays
- £500 annual personal development budget
- Access to London office
- Remote - with commitment to being in the London office when needed
- Extended parental leave package
- 3% pension contribution
- 500 minutes / month of Lime bike usage
- Tools and equipment you need
- Quarterly team offsites for organised fun and strategy discussions
