Company Description
iovox is a data analytics company focused on making data from all phone calls actionable and valuable. Trusted by leading brands and global customers in over 65 countries, iovox provides call analytics, productivity, and collaboration solutions.
The Role:
iovox is advancing how businesses understand customer conversations. Our AI-driven speech analytics platform ingests, processes, and interprets voice, text, and chat data at scale - delivering actionable insights that power smarter decisions, improved customer experience, and predictive intelligence.
We are expanding our team to push the boundaries of Large Language Model (LLM) fine-tuning, agentic AI systems, and multimodal speech processing. If you’re excited about building the next generation of autonomous, language-aware systems - we’d like to meet you.
Whilst we would prefer all the below skills, we at iovox ultimately hire on your potential. We appreciate honest, hard-working, reliable people and we would rather train an awesome person than to hire someone who does not fit our team culture. We believe that you need to be happy at work, and we strive to fulfil this for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate Large Language Models (LLMs) for conversational understanding, summarization, and intent extraction across speech and text modalities.
- Design and implement agentic AI architectures, leveraging relevant frameworks for multi-agent systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate ASR outputs with NLP pipelines and downstream analytical models.
- Automate data collection and normalisation for large-scale supervised and unsupervised training datasets.
- Automate data science workflows and experimentation pipelines - including data ingestion, model retraining, evaluation, and deployment.
- Conduct research experiments in model compression, prompt optimisation, and multi-turn dialogue systems.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate technical advances into deployable, production-grade systems.
Essential Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python and key ML/AI libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, LangChain, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience fine-tuning and deploying LLMs for production use.
- Strong foundation in machine learning theory, optimisation, statistics, and probability
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Willingness to get involved and learn
- Have a sense of humour
- Right to work in UK
Preferred Skills:
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or experience in a related discipline
- Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Exposure to MLOps / model lifecycle management (preferably MLflow)
- SQL proficiency and experience with large-scale data.
- Understanding of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), speech-to-text alignment, and acoustic modelling.
- Understanding of audio and speech optimisation pipelines — including noise reduction, feature extraction (MFCCs, spectrograms)
- Familiarity with multi-agent coordination, tool use, or autonomous workflow orchestration
- Hands-on experience with CUDA, GPU acceleration, and distributed model training.
- Knowledge of parallel computation, mixed-precision training, and multi-GPU scaling strategies
- Fluency in another European language (French, Italian, or Spanish)
Perks of the Role:
- Private Medical and Dental Care
- Competitive pay based on your skillset
- 25 days paid holiday (plus the period between Christmas and New Year)
Process:
- Initial interviews held remotely by invitation only
