The Operations Manager will oversee the end-to-end execution of utility-scale solar PV projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience in managing large-scale EPC operations in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities Of The Operations Manager Will Be
Project Execution & Oversight
- Lead and coordinate all phases of EPC project execution from planning to commissioning.
- Ensure alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
People Leadership
- Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, and construction personnel.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
Procurement & Supply Chain
- Coordinate with the group procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Optimize logistics and inventory management for project efficiency.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies. Providing regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor project budgets and control costs through efficient resource management.
- Approve expenditure and manage change orders.

Criteria
- Experience in EPC project management, with at least 3 years in solar PV grid-scale projects.
- Proven track record of delivering multi-megawatt solar projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
