Purpose of the position: As
ROV Workshop Mechanical Technician you will be part of the ROV Asset department. You will assist in carrying out Mechanical maintenance on Saipem ROV and equipment systems (ROV, TMS, Winch, HPU, A-Frame etc.). In accordance with company procedures and direction of Workshop Manager and Lead Workshop Technician.
How can you support us?
- To assist in carrying out mechanical maintenance activities on Saipem’s ROV and Equipment (ROV, TMS, Winch, HPU, etc), under supervision/direction of the Lead technicians in the workshop.
- To develop and gain knowledge and experience on mechanical maintenance activities related to Saipem’s ROV and Equipment
- To assist in carrying out mechanical maintenance and repair activities on workshop equipment
- To become familiar with and to maintain awareness of Saipem’s current requirements / protocols / policies and where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations
- To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Saipem’s policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with Saipem specific procedures
What are we looking for?
Required
- Industry training in mechanical disciplines, i.e. Time-served, or equivalent
Desirable
- Previous mechanical maintenance experience in a similar or equivalent role
Please note: All applicants must reside in the UK and possess full, permanent UK right-to-work status, as Saipem is unable to offer sponsorships.
Pre and post-employment medical assessments will be required and included as part of the Offer of Employment for all workshop personnel.
