We are seeking a proactive and organised Facilities Operations Assistant to join our Facilities Management team in a brand new office in city centre Manchester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of our workplace, supporting both operational delivery and customer satisfaction in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Description
As Facilities Operations Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across all aspects of Facilities Management. You’ll be a key point of contact for facilities-related queries, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and well-organised workplace.
This varied role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily facilities operations including maintenance, cleaning, and security coordination.
- Liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Respond to employee facilities requests professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of service contracts, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with sustainability initiatives such as recycling and energy-saving projects.
- Deliver H&S and environmental inductions for new starters.
- Log, facilitate, and oversee reactive and planned maintenance visits.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and HSEQ standards.
- Support completion of fire risk assessments and water hygiene arrangements.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
About You
- Previous experience in a Facilities role is desirable.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Clear and confident communicator with good written and spoken English.
- Comfortable using MS Office and digital systems.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
