Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced XHEV Charging Features / PED Engineer to join our hybrid/electric vehicle team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, validating, and integrating charging features and power electronics systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, and supporting vehicle-level testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and validate charging features for hybrid and electric vehicles.
- Work on Power Electronics Design (PED) and related components.
- Perform functional testing of charging systems and on-board chargers (AC/DC).
- Support vehicle-level integration and testing activities.
- Use MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and analysis of charging and PED systems.
- Utilize CAN/CANoe/CANalyzer for diagnostics and system validation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards and other automotive regulations.
- Document and present test results to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate effectively with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–9 years of experience in automotive electrification, XHEV, or EV systems.
- Strong knowledge of charging systems (AC/DC, CCS, CHAdeMO) and EVSE.
- Hands-on experience with Power Electronics / PED.
- Experience in battery management systems (BMS).
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink, CAN/CANoe/CANalyzer, and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
- Experience in vehicle integration and testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to thermal management for chargers/power electronics.
- Experience in EV software/hardware interface validation.
- Previous work in hybrid/electric vehicle programs.
