As a software engineer with proven commercial experience in LLM’s there are a lot of problem spaces where you can apply your skills these days.
What’s a good bet in this market though?
You’re sensible and you likely realise that the market is due a correction and that the tide will go out again. Yet…AI is only going to get better and some of today's innovators are standing on solid ground.
Some signs of a healthy startup might look like;
Funding - to an extent although there is a lot of money being thrown at anything AI
Paying customers - this would be better
Enterprise customers - better yet
Clear vision for what their product is and who it serves. Endless pivots are exhausting
Balance - Trying to outwork your competitors is not a moat despite what the people who drank the San Fran Kool-Aid will have you believe
Experienced Founders - Working with people who have done it before is a totally different experience than joining first time founders
Strong team - careful hires and a great culture help this business to outperform their competitors without working everyone into the ground. It is a marathon not a sprint. Better yet run a relay whilst your competitors are running around like headless chickens.
Room for innovation and experimentation. Just because they have a north star does not stop this team from trying new things. Turning ideas into experiments has already unlocked a new revenue stream. What could you bring to the mix?
Team SEEKR are currently working with a Series-A funded start up (with growing ARR) who embody a lot of the points above. If you want to work with all the toys in a room full of grownups then this could be the role for you.

Can I work remotely? They have a London office, spend two days a week there and like the benefits of working in person. But if you live in the UK and London would be a stretch as a commute, get in touch anyway. Also they are open to periods of remote working. A couple of weeks abroad outside of school holiday madness? Doable.
