We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to work with a rapidly growing start up operating within the green tech space.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This senior data role is focused on leading strategic, high-impact analytics initiatives that translate complex business challenges into data-driven insights and solutions. The position combines technical depth with commercial awareness, supporting decision-making across the organisation through forecasting, optimisation, and advanced analytics. You’ll also have line management responsibilities and work closely with data engineering and business stakeholders to ensure data is leveraged effectively to drive growth and operational performance.
- Lead forecasting and analytical projects: Develop and implement statistical and time series models (e.g., ARIMA, regression) to predict demand, usage, and operational trends.
- Support pricing and revenue initiatives: Use modelling and scenario analysis to assess price elasticity, optimise revenue, and inform dynamic pricing strategies.
- Deliver actionable insights: Translate complex data analysis into clear, compelling narratives and visualisations that influence business decisions.
- Experimentation and impact measurement: Design and evaluate A/B tests or uplift models to assess changes and measure causal impact (desirable).
- Energy and demand analytics: Analyse consumption patterns and load forecasts to support operational efficiency and resource planning.
- Leadership and mentorship: Manage and develop a Data Analyst, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
YOUR SKILLS:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in analytical or data-focused roles.
- Strong academic background in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, analysis, and modelling.
- Proven experience applying forecasting and time series modelling techniques to business problems.
- Background in pricing or optimisation, including dynamic pricing, revenue modelling, or scenario analysis.
- High-level data storytelling and visualisation skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and actionable way.
- Experience with experimentation methods (e.g., A/B testing, uplift modelling) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with energy demand analysis or load forecasting—including understanding of consumption trends and grid dynamics—is beneficial.
- Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring or managing data analysts or junior team members.
