Due to expansion of the business, we require a determined and focused SCADA Design Engineer to join our talented and hardworking Electrical Design Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities:
- SCADA Design, Configuration & Development of the companies SCADA Solutions
- Provide support for production Testing & Validation, site Installation & Commissioning
- Manage and coordinate closing of site punch points
- All necessary SCADA related Design Documentation e.g. I/O signals list, cable schedules, BOMs, layouts and architecture
- Working knowledge of UK electrical and safety codes and practices
- Competent to clearly present information in both one-on-one and group settings
- Proven history of problem-solving skills and able to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Proven track record in Installation & Commissioning of PLCs/RTUs/IEDs and peripherals such as HMIs and SCADAs
- Experience with Status, Control and Monitoring of LV and MV Electrical Substation equipment (up to 33KV)
- Interface with site personnel, Design team, vendors, etc to resolve design issues
- Work on incidents and change management requests in close coordination with company processes and systems
- Provide design input to all other Engineering, Procurement & Construction teams (EPC) from SCADA perspective
- Able to research new technologies and look to continue improving project design Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality
- Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001).
Role overview:
SCADA Design Engineer will be responsible for IoT based solutions for our EV Charger
Hubs, Electric Forecourts and Hybrid PV farms.
Skills/ Experience Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in an electrical substation environment
- Electrical Engineering background (HNC, HND, Degree)
- Have good knowledge in Substation Automation system, Modbus, IEC101/104, DNP3, IEC61850, PLC and substation auxiliaries
- Have knowledge in RTU/telecommunication/Metering/BESS/PV systems is advantageous
- Good working knowledge of current industry SCADA packages e.g., ABB MicroSCADA, SIEMENS SECAM, GE DS Agile, Copa-Data Zenon
- Have good skill in Windows Server operating system and LINUX operating system
- Familiarity with overall electrical SCADA solution
- Good IT and analytical skills
- Deliver assigned activities within agreed timescales and budgeted costs.
