Job Overview
We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our busy Engineering department at our Group's headquarters in Belton, Grantham.
Working closely with and as a key part of the Engineering team, you'll be responsible for working with the wider engineering and quality teams, ensuring that customer and business requirements are satisfied by the timely implementation of New Project Introduction.
Purpose: Key Roles and Responsibilities
Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself and your co-workers free from injury.
Learn and follow HSE policies, rules, and work instructions, attend required HSE training.
Work with customers (internal and external) to convert their requirements into meaningful project deliverables.
Capture and maintain project deliverables on detailed timing plans, reporting to the wider business on timeliness and potential delays.
Review all elements on the critical path, throughout the project, to ensure sufficient focus is given for successful delivery.
Coordinate activities within the project using key tools such as CCAR.
Lead or support the review of all tooling and equipment specifications to ensure that they deliver the customer requirements.
Work with tooling and equipment suppliers to ensure successful installation and commissioning.
Work within agreed budgets and maintain cost schedules to the standard required.
Develop and lead problem solving activities when issues are found within a project.
Recommend process changes as required and develop and implement improvements.
Ensure Quality and business standards are maintained throughout the project.
Prepare and present project updates as required internally or by the Customer. Ensure that all new processes are proven out with relevant ISIRs as required and all relevant documentation for PPAP, APQP and PSW is available when required.
Ensure that the Change Management process is followed as required.
Training of operators (where applicable). Keep a clean and manageable working area.
Any Other Duties As Required, Commensurate With Job.
Shift working may be required including days, late shift, and night shift.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and working practices.
Requirements
Qualifications
Batchelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Project Management Qualification
PRINCE2 Certification or equivalent
Skills / Knowledge
Statistical analysis of data
Core Tools
Planning and Organising – able to organise workload making sure CCAR and other project related meetings are maintained
Project Management Skills – able to manage resources required for projects providing feedback/updates to all involved parties
Influencing & Networking - able to work with internal and external contacts to find solutions to common goals and to facilitate projects
Written reporting skills – able to analyse data and present findings to different audiences.
IT Skills – able to use full range of Microsoft packages
Experience
Project planning experience, particularly with Microsoft Project
