Role Description and Responsibilities
We’re looking for a Development Chemist to join our Gas Analysis team, helping to develop new and novel sensor technologies that deliver world-class analytical instrumentation for the energy sector.
Develop and characterise sensor technologies, including:
- Calibration modelling
- Sensor chemistry optimisation
- Sampling system design
- Firmware development
- Creation of uncertainty budgets
Design and execute measurement protocols to assess analytical system performance
Conduct field commissioning and testing
Deliver high-quality experimental data, analysis, and technical reports
Collaborate closely with engineers and scientists to translate research concepts into practical products
Support continuous improvement of existing sensor platforms
Assist in broader analytical activities to support the wider business
About You
- Degree (or higher) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with gas analysis and metrological science
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary R&D environment
- Proven track record of delivering long-term projects
