About the Client
Our client is a globally oriented innovation and technology company near Shanghai, China, known for advancing large-scale, future-critical energy and infrastructure systems. The company integrates research, engineering, and strategic development to transform forward-looking concepts-spanning green hydrogen, renewable integration, and energy storage-into reliable, high-impact solutions. Their environment brings together interdisciplinary teams and modern R&D programs, with the scale, resources, and technical depth needed to move plant- and grid-level implementations from pilot to production in low-carbon contexts.
Role Setup & Location
This role begins in March 2026 with a remote-first setup, ensuring a flexible and smooth start from any location. As collaboration deepens, short, fully sponsored on-site visits to China can be arranged by mutual agreement to support focused work, alignment, or project acceleration when beneficial. Compensation is globally competitive, complemented by additional housing and participation allowances for any agreed on-site involvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement sustainable energy systems across green hydrogen, renewable integration, and energy storage.
• Lead projects end-to-end-requirements, modeling/techno-economic analysis, validation, and delivery-meeting environmental and technical standards.
• Collaborate with process, electrical, and operations teams and external partners to integrate solutions into plants and grids.
• Establish clear documentation, SOPs, and performance baselines; monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement and low-carbon outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and support road-mapping for scale-up and deployment.
Your Profile
• Ideally holding a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (power systems), Materials Science, Physics (or related field), or equivalent industry experience.
• Ideally 3+ years of relevant experience in sustainable energy / hydrogen / energy systems engineering.
• English is the working language; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with system modeling and analysis (e.g., mass/energy balances, process simulation, or grid integration studies).
• Familiarity with hydrogen production/use (e.g., electrolyzers, fuel cells) and/or renewable + storage integration.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental compliance, and applicable standards for energy systems.
We Offer
• Very competitive salary package and comprehensive benefits.
• Remote-first working model with optional short on-site exchanges by mutual agreement.
• Housing and family allowances available when on-site work is arranged.
• Access to cutting-edge tools and real-world, high-impact applications.
