We’re looking for a Sales & Projects Engineer to support our senior team. Managing both customer-facing and project delivery responsibilities for mechanical & materials handling equipment for the food industry. This role is perfect for someone early in their engineering or commercial journey who wants to learn quickly, gain real responsibility & ownership, and grow into a confident professional in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Your Role at a Glance
This role will be focused on Sales Support and Project Coordination. You'll be actively involved in:
Sales Support
- Handling incoming enquiries and assisting in the preparation of quotes and proposals
- Building product knowledge to assist in pricing and project scoping
- Communicating clearly with customers, understanding needs, and supporting pre-sale discussions
- Supporting CRM and internal systems to manage quotes and customer data
Project Support
- Coordinating with internal departments (design, planning, production, logistics)
- Assisting with scheduling and documentation for equipment delivery and installation
- Following up on project status and ensuring all customer requirements are met
- Supporting site planning, installation & commissioning
Who We’re Looking For
We don’t expect you to know everything! You’ll receive hands-on support from experienced Projects engineers & Sales managers, giving you the platform to develop quickly and take on more responsibility as you grow toward handling larger projects, customer ownership & increased commercial responsibilities.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A technical mindset and eagerness to further develop engineering principles
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Previous involvement in quoting, estimating, or technical sales support (Min 2-3 years)
- An inquisitive, proactive thinker who enjoys solving problems and providing solutions
- The ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings & fundamental principles
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in following up tasks
Desirable Experience (Nice to Have, but not essential)
- Exposure to food processing, packaging, or hygiene equipment environments
- Familiarity with Basic CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing drawings or simple layouts
- Experience working with OEM equipment, integrators, or mechanical/materials-handling systems
- An understanding of manufacturing principles – Fabrication / assembly / testing / Installation
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (design, production, service, logistics)
- Hands-on experience with site surveys
