Beicio Cymru is accelerating its ambitions for BMX in Wales – and we’re looking for a driven, collaborative and forward-thinking BMX Lead on a full-time 24-month fixed term contract to help us take the sport to the next level.

About the role
The BMX Lead will drive the strategic growth and day-to-day delivery of BMX across Wales, with a primary focus on the National BMX Centre Wales.
You’ll ensure Beicio Cymru meets its commitments with partners including Cardiff BMX (CBMX), Sport Wales and Cardiff Council, while shaping the long-term development of the sport.
Working with the National Development Manager, you will:
- Oversee governance, facility operations and performance monitoring at the National BMX Centre.
- Support CBMX with club development, site management, governance and financial sustainability.
- Chair the BMX Commission and contribute to national planning for clubs, events, facilities and talent pathways.
- Strengthen volunteer and coaching networks, develop inclusive community activity and introduce club health-check support.
- Lead and support the delivery of events, participation opportunities and wider community access.
- Build strong partnerships and act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across Wales.
What we're looking for
Essential:
Experience in facility or sports development, strong governance and planning skills, excellent communication, confidence with financial and strategic documents, and a commitment to inclusion.
Desirable:
Knowledge of BMX or similar environments, experience with public-sector or funded projects, and project-management training.
Role Details
- Contract: Full-time, 24-month fixed term
- Salary: £30,000
- Location: Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales & National BMX Centre Wales (hybrid available)
- Start: Early 2025
- The role includes travel for events and meetings across Wales.
