About Yantra
Yantra Technologies builds AI-native software for capital markets. We're solving complex, context-dependent problems that traditional software cannot handle - whether providing leverage to the front-office for investment decisions or supporting back-office operations
Our approach: modular AI capabilities anchored in our Fulcrum platform, deployed through front-line engineering teams who work directly within client environments.
The Role
You'll work directly with our founding team researching and building production AI systems for capital markets. This isn't about tweaking prompts—you'll be architecting agent workflows, designing data extraction schemas, evaluating LLM performance, and building the infrastructure that makes AI reliable enough for institutional finance.
Expect to spend your time:
- Designing and implementing LLM-powered components and agents
- Building evaluation frameworks to measure system performance and identify failure modes
- Developing data processing pipelines for financial communications and structured data sources
- Experimenting with different approaches to context retrieval, prompt engineering, and orchestration patterns
- Working directly with client teams to understand workflows and validate solutions
This is a research-heavy role focused on figuring out what actually works, not just implementing known solutions. The problems are genuinely hard—thousands of edge cases, ambiguous inputs, high reliability requirements.
You should apply if
Required:
- Currently completing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Strong programming fundamentals and ability to build working systems quickly
- Genuine curiosity about how things work and willingness to dig into unfamiliar domains
- Comfort with ambiguity and iterative problem-solving
Nice to Have:
- Experience building applied AI systems (even course projects or personal experiments)
- Familiarity with Python, LangChain or other agent orchestration frameworks, vector databases
- Understanding of software engineering practices (testing, version control, documentation)
- Interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge required)
What you'll learn
- How to build reliable AI systems for high-stakes environments
- Real-world patterns for agent architectures, RAG systems, and structured extraction
- The operational realities of deploying AI in regulated industries
- How complex financial operations actually work
Practical details
- Location: London (hybrid—expect significant in-person collaboration)
- Duration: 2-6 months
- Compensation: Competitive internship salary
- Start Date: Flexible (ideally January 2026)
