Helix Robotics Solutions Ltd (part of the Helix Energy Solutions Group) are looking for a Proposals Engineer to join the Commercial Team, based in Dyce, Aberdeen, UK, on a permanent basis. Whilst this is a full time position, Helix RS offer a compressed working week.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team contributing to the overall success in winning diverse subsea projects and supporting to shape the future of the business. This role will provide candidates with hands on experience working on both oil and gas projects and renewable energy projects for years to come with its specialised suite of services including but not limited to UXO / EOD, Boulder Clearance, Mattress Installation, Pre-Lay Grapnel Runs, Trenching and WROV services.
As a Proposals Engineer, you will play a key role in the commercial tendering process, managing and submitting high quality proposals in collaboration with our Business Development and Project Teams. This role provides a unique opportunity to a confident and motivated individual with daily exposure to senior management with an opportunity to grow in an evolving industry.
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain practical commercial experience and develop strong analytical and organisational skills whilst having a variety of work.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing tenders from start to finish, including support during contractual negotiations where required, to provide Clients with a comprehensive and high quality proposal
- Bid writing utilising standardised and personalised information to ensure Client requirements are met
- Working with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery in line with Client requirements
- Co-ordinating post-tender meetings, responding to clarifications and maintaining all communication with Client during the tender process
- Working with internal templates to provide estimating (scheduling and financial) for each tender, and presenting to relevant management for approval
- Maintaining tender databases to a high standard and ensuring that all communications are responded to in a timely manner
Experience/Education required:
- Degree in a legal, commercial, or business-related discipline and/or experience working within a commercial or tendering team.
Skill Set:
- Strong organisational Skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good Client facing ability and articulation
- Good understanding of MS packages (specifically MS Excel and MS Word)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines
