Field Service Technician - Mechanical Maintenance Mon - Fri plus 1/6 week out of hours rota including a weekend which includes a shift premium Van + Fuel card +Bonus + other excellent benefits Join the UK’s leading renewable energy generator of low carbon power from captured landfill and mineral methane. Your role As a Field Service Technician, you will joining a skilled technical team that perform comprehensive planned preventative maintenance on our fleet of gas combustion engines. You will travel between our Chesterfield, Mansfield and Nottingham sites to service our fleet of gas reciprocating engines, spotting early warning signs and possible equipment breakdown signals, notifying the breakdown team to schedule a visit. What you will be do-Service four stroke gas reciprocating engines performing PPM which is based on the number of hours each engine has been running forRepair or replace engine parts/instruments using your problem-solving skillsMonitor the work of contractors who attend the repair of power generation equipment, gas process plant and Balance of PlantDocument site visits, complete service reports, booking parts out as they are used and reporting actual shortfalls to maintain van stockEnsure H&S and compliance procedures are adhered to, reporting any incidents to prevent accidents or breaches What you will bringEngineering, mechanical, vehicle, manufacturing, marine, plant, generator, CHP or agricultural experience or qualificationsFlexible approach towards working hoursFull UK driving licenceConfident using laptop, mobile and technical programs What we offerCompetitive basic salary working a 40-hour week (Monday to Friday)Bonus - target up to 15% paid quarterly and annually25 days annual leave, plus bank holidaysPension scheme with 6% employer contributionCompany van & fuel card which can be used for personal useCompany uniform, personal protective equipment and all tools providedComprehensive six-month induction training matrixGreen benefits offering a staff discount on domestic solar panels & EV home car charging pointsEmployee Assist Programme What next If you like what you have read, then please apply and we will contact you within 48 hours.
