We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to be our very first Net Zero Information Analyst here at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW).
Reporting to the Net Zero Lead, the post holder will be an organised and personable individual, with strong motivational skills supporting development and adoption of net zero/sustainability initiatives across the Trust. This is an important leadership role, designed for a person with great organisational and analytical skills and interested in driving and delivering a rapid transition to low-carbon healthcare.
This is a great opportunity to join the Trust and play a key role in delivering our net-zero ambitions. The role is fundamental in ensuring the net zero requirements of the Trust are met, and as a new role you will be able to shape and develop it as it matures.
You will need specialist environmental/sustainability knowledge as well as data analysis expertise, as this is a pivotal role within the Green Plan progression. The portfolio of work will cover all areas that have a carbon impact, including but not limited to care pathways, medicines, procurement, estates, waste, food, travel & transport, and adaptation. Excellent organisational and data analysis skills are required, with an ability to be adaptable and flexible. You will be responsible for information reports and analysis in relation to Net Zero along with robust validation strategies validation and presentations.
The post holder will use their expertise to prioritise areas of carbon reduction across the Trust, assisting in setting targets for the Green Plan allowing better CO2 reduction.
The post holder will support with the production of appropriate forecasting, which will enable the Trust to respond accordingly and to ensure national targets are met. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring the Trust Net Zero reporting supports the national requirements. The post holder will respond to requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
