SWARCO Smart Charging is the Electric Vehicle Charging division of SWARCO UK. Within SWARCO Smart Charging, a new investments division has been established to drive SWARCO’s presence in the Chargepoint Operation market. We will soon be launching a new customer-facing brand, with the ambition of becoming a leading Chargepoint Operator in this rapidly growing sector.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial and Operations Analyst to join our team at Swarco Smart Charging. The role will be home based but with requirements to visit the office in Hemel Hempstead.
- Supporting with the deployment and operations of new charge points
- Provide the Commercial Manager with analysis supporting lease and other contract negotiations
- Support the Project Managers (PMs) as required in ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget
- Provide demand forecasting for charger utilisation metrics to support financial modelling and commercial decision making
- Support the Sales Managers with analysis and forecasting for the commercial value of investment opportunities for both SWARCO and prospective clients
- Analyse data from the charger network to generate actionable insights in digestible output formats
- Close monitoring of network KPIs supporting the Commercial Manager to drive profitability and feedback analysis into site assessment and demand modelling
- Provide analysis and forecasting to support the Commercial Manager with energy procurement and optimisation of energy costs for the charger network
- Support the Commercial Manager with preparing monthly cashflow forecasts for CAPEX and OPEX
- Operate the monthly reporting on network performance covering SLA targets vs actuals, profit and revenue reporting against targets and proposing improvement actions
- Provide SLA reporting to third party customers, when applicable
- Conduct analysis on big datasets extracted from the back office systems
- Consolidate data on revenues from charger operations, and costs from invoices and back office systems to compile accurate financial reporting spreadsheets
- Degree in STEM subject or equivalent experience in an analyst role
- Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
- Advanced level in Microsoft Excel, with some previous spreadsheet modelling or forecasting experience. Candidate will be expected to improve and develop existing spreadsheets and models as well as build new ones as required
- Experience in Power BI strongly preferable
- Capable with other MS Office applications (Powerpoint, Word, etc)
- Experience with automation in VBA or any coding experience is useful but not essential for the role
- Good communication skills both verbally and written
- Capacity to meet project deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of the EV market is not essential
- Right to work in the UK
