Bauer Energy is driving the transition to cleaner transport by delivering innovative, reliable, and scalable Electric Vehicle Charging Point (EVCP) infrastructures. Through our EVCP Solutions division, we partner with clients, landlords, and network operators to design, install, and maintain high-quality charge point networks that enable a sustainable energy future.
The Role
The EV Civils Site Supervisor / Build Manager will be responsible for the day to day on site supervision and coordination of Electric Vehicle Charging Point (EVCP) installation works. Acting as the eyes and ears of the Delivery / Operations Manager, this role ensures that all civil, electrical, and reinstatement activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification across multiple live sites.
This is a hands-on site-based role, focused on monitoring build quality, programme adherence, health & safety compliance, and subcontractor performance. You will provide real-time feedback from site, identify risks early, and support smooth delivery from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.
The role requires strong practical experience in civils and utilities works, an understanding of EV infrastructure delivery, and the confidence to manage subcontractors, interfaces, and stakeholders on the ground.
Key Deliverables
- Oversee day to day site activities for EVCP projects, including civils, ducting, foundations, bases, electrical containment, and charger installations.
- Act as the primary on site representative for Bauer Energy, ensuring works are delivered in line with approved designs, RAMS, and programme.
- Monitor build progress against the agreed delivery schedule, highlighting delays, risks, or constraints to the Delivery / Operations Manager.
- Ensure all works are completed to required quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Supervise excavation, trenching, duct installation, backfill, compaction, and reinstatement works.
- Ensure reinstatement of footways, carriageways, verges, and hardstanding areas meets local authority standards and permit conditions.
- Verify that all reinstatement works comply with NRSWA, HAUC guidance, Chapter 8, and site specific requirements.
- Carry out regular inspections and quality checks, recording defects and ensuring timely rectification.
- Promote and enforce a strong Health, Safety, and Environmental culture across all sites.
- Ensure all site activities comply with CDM Regulations, company HSEQ policies, and industry best practice.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings as required.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with RAMS, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work.
- Stop works where unsafe practices are identified and escalate appropriately.
- Support the management of street works permits, notices, and site-specific constraints.
- Ensure works are carried out in line with permit conditions, traffic management plans, and agreed working hours.
- Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, utilities, landlords, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with site access arrangements, welfare setup, and site readiness checks.
- Provide clear daily site updates, including progress, photos, issues, and risks.
- Ensure photographic records, depth checks, compaction evidence, and as-built information are accurately captured.
- Support completion of handover packs, snag lists, and commissioning readiness.
- Maintain accurate site records and contribute to audit and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Coordinators to support smooth delivery.
- Share site intelligence, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities with the wider delivery team.
- Support the onboarding and supervision of new subcontractors where required.
- Represent Bauer Energy professionally at all times on client and public-facing sites.
