We're on the lookout for a dynamic Sales Team Manager, someone with a proven record of steering successful sales teams in both B2B and B2B2C arenas.
We're on the hunt for an individual with a genuine passion for team development and experience in coaching high-performance teams. A dedication to sustainability is non-negotiable, coupled with a focus on creating a great customer experience across your teams.
At the core of our mission is a vibrant and forward-thinking approach, helping people adopt sustainable transportation through electric vehicles. Your role? To lead one of our EV sales teams, leading them to new heights. Your primary focus? Leading and developing our team and business relationships and driving the growth of our Salary Sacrifice product.
Your team is the embodiment of Octopus Electric Vehicles, acting as the frontline experts and advocates for customers embracing the benefits of our Octopus EV Salary Sacrifice scheme.
This position comes with an uncapped commission structure, a generous car allowance as part of the overall package, and an office that's more than just a workplace - it's an inspiring environment, located in the heart of Weybridge, where you'll be stationed 2-3 days a week.
What you'll do
Leadership and Team Development:Lead and drive your sales team to achieve outstanding resultsCoach, train and develop your team to improve their sales skills and performance metricsDrive a healthy team culture through regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, team meetings, PDP’s and goal settingStrive for individual and team success, fostering a collaborative environmentEnsure teams are customer-focused, high-energy, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environmentLearn quickly, adapt to different personalities, and bring out the best in your teamThrive in getting things done and completing projects and tasks ahead of schedule
Sales Expertise:Leverage your experience in running successful sales teams, ensuring excellence in both public-facing and B2B2C sales skills and methodologiesManage sales pipelines from lead generation to delivery, setting and exceeding targetsPossess strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisionsCreate insightful reports with actionable feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
Recruitment and Growth:Recruit and lead a team of high-performing EV ExpertsForecast team performance and implement strategies and plans for long term success
Customer Service:Ensure outstanding customer service, recording customer satisfaction, and sharing best practices across the sales teamsOversee quality assurance, ensuring compliance with FCA guidelinesGuarantee top-quality service delivery at all times, maintaining a high standard of customer experience
Collaboration and Best Practices:Collaborate with other Sales Team Managers to share best practicesWork with cross-functional teams to iterate propositions and materials for the B2B/B2C marketThink holistically, considering the impact of decisions on wider teams and the overall businessEmbrace change and thrive on challenges
What you'll needPrevious B2B or B2B2C sales management experienceA proven track record managing large teams with different skill sets in a phone based environmentExtensive knowledge of sales methodologies, principles and practices with the ability to lead, coach, and develop successful teamsExperience working in a growth environment with an adaptable mindset to excel in an ever-changing business environmentA self-starter attitude with the ability to think independently, get things done and complete tasks ahead of scheduleStrong time management, communication and interpersonal skills Car industry knowledge would be preferred but not essentialGenuine passion for electric vehicles / energy and decarbonisationPassion for delivering excellent customer service and a drive for going above and beyond for our customers
